This is an excellent concept and you have produced some outstanding images. How could you develop and expand on this further to create more visual variety?

Hand under aquarium light

what the picture started off like, before manipulation

using the magnetic lasso tool around the edge of the
hand, then adjusting the contrast and brightness higher

image is cropped to remove unwanted dark background

levels are ajusted to the 's' shape. this brings out the colours
more and makes the image seem more interesting

Steamed Mirror

before photoshop

levels are changed to the s shape, but only slightly,
too much resulted in artificial looking colours. 

contrast is changed to about 50

curves are ajusted to the s shape once again
resulting in better contrast and brighter appeal.
the hand is also darker.  Another addition was
that the curves made the print in the steam
appear more clear. 

image is made black and white, this
makes the hand seem like a shadow,
also making the texture of the steam on
the window appear better

Cropped, cutting the top and bottom as well s left
side of the image. this reduced the extreme brightness
from the daylight which caught unwanted eye contract, also
defeating the steam texture.
